Get ready for a sunny one! Here are some top picks for your weekend:

  • Saturday: Sunny intervals, High 21°C / Low 8°C.

  • Sunday: Sunny intervals, High 21°C / Low 10°C.

  1. 🎉 Celebrate Surrey Day! (All Day Saturday, May 10th)

It's the 7th annual #SurreyDay, celebrating everything great about our county! This year, the theme is "How World War Two Shaped Surrey," coinciding with the 80th anniversary of VE Day. Expect all-day coverage on BBC Radio Surrey from sites across the county, culminating in a ceremonial beacon lighting. The secondary theme is "Take The Lead For Surrey Day," so look out for favourite dog walks and dog-friendly destinations! It's a community initiative by Visit Surrey, BBC Radio Surrey, and the Surrey Lieutenancy. Get involved and show your Surrey pride!

  2. 🎭 On Stage: "Handbagged" at Yvonne Arnaud Theatre

Catch Moira Buffini's sharp and very funny play imagining the weekly meetings between Queen Elizabeth II and Margaret Thatcher. This hit revival is on its national tour and has been described by The Telegraph as "Worth queueing round the block for." Don't miss out!

  5. 🎺 Free Bandstand Concert at Guildford Castle

Enjoy a lovely afternoon of music in the beautiful Castle Grounds. This Sunday features BWCB Second Wind. Pack a picnic and relax!
